After a 4 hours of fun in Mindspot, the gang and I went to Muhibbah restaurant which was located at the same row as TDH (Tom, Dick and Harry) but however, they have shifted to Kg. Sg. Penchala early this month. The gang, dying for Muhibbah, went to the new shop, which is quite near if going from TTDI.Muhibbah is a seafood restaurant that is run by a Chinese-Muslim and it's Halal. However, it was my first time dining at Muhibbah and I'd say the food is not bad. The dishes are actually very Chinese style but knowing the typical Chinese style, it is very heavy in taste, with a lot of oil, sugar, salt and whatnots. I'd say that Muhibbah serves Chinese food in a healthier cooking style, at least not as heavy taste as typical Chinese cookings.
After you have placed your order, peanuts will be served as snacks or appetizer. The hungry gang ordered a lot of dishes;
Fried rice for 6 pax
Fried 'Kai Lan' with salted fish. I loved this dish because the 'kai lan' is not bitter and it does not have the salted fish smell that I hate! This dish is well cooked than many others Chinese stalls out there!
You should know how typical Chinese love to boil their soup by using pork bones to make the soup have very sweet and strong flavoring. Without using pork bones to boil the soup, this Salted Vege Bean Curd Soup has something different to offer. Pork is replaced by fresh seafood such as small prawns and squids, not too salty but you can still taste a little bit of sweetness in the soup, followed by the smell of salted vege.
I think this is chicken with ginger and spring onion. Tasted okay, but I didn't like it much because it is using chicken breast/fillet. The meat is soft and boneless, suitable for lazy people like me but bear in mind that chicken breast/fillet is tasteless and they does not absorb the gravy well.
I seriously can't remember the name of the dishes because my friend ordered them but let's call this dish Bean curd with vegetables. Loved this dish, loved their still-intact bean curd and not-so-starchy gravy!
Deep fried squid. What can I say? Epic dish! Loved their special dipping also. It's soury, like some assam dipping and it's not sweet! Perfect dipping to get rid of the oiliness of deep fry.
The whole dinner is satisfying for me but it isn't the best I've had. One major drawback is that the new location is full of huge mosquitoes. I killed one and the bf killed 4, but the whole table, especially me was constantly shaking my legs throughout the entire dinner. I might consider visiting again but I wouldn't think I'd crave for it because being a typical Chinese, I like food that is heavier in taste than Muhibbah.

Robot Sushi, Sunway Pyramid
This was supposed to be up last month but due to my long hiatus, so here it is. Thanks to Groupsmore, I came across a lot of nice deals. So Robot Sushi was one of it. I got to purchase rm50 worth of voucher with only rm25. So the bf and I went to try out Robot Sushi, which I would say it's a replacement of Sushi Groove last time. Robot sushi's ambiance is very different from any other sushi shops. It's a very chilling ambiance where you can sit there for a long time to chat with your friends, and it has a DJ set which they will have house DJ on certain days and they do spin house music and also R&B. With great music, companion of a good drink is a must. Robot sushi have a bar and I think they do serve alcohol. Saw their promotion with beer or something. For every night there's a theme, and Wednesday is of course Ladies' night. It's definitely a great place to unwind after a long day of work with a cup of drinks and good food.
Their sushi style is very fusion-like, but nonetheless their ingredients were really fresh. We ordered mini california maki and the bf loved their ebiko(small fish roe) because the ebiko gave him the balloon-popping feeling in his mouth and he was very happy with it. Other than that, we also tried beef roll stuffed with mozzarella cheese. The beef roll was nicely cook, not too hard but I'd say it's a little disappointment because half of the beef roll were not stuffed with mozzarella cheese and half of it was stuffed. I know it'd be too much to eat all 6 rolls with stuffed cheese but still having thick empty beef rolls with nothing was odd to me. I'd rather they stuff some vegetables inside as replacement of cheese. There another fusion sushi which I forgotten what it is, it's supposed to be a combination of beef and chicken I think. I didn't know what I was eating and it tasted weird that my rubbish-bin bf had to go with the sauce, knowing that he's not really that picky about food. We also ordered a beef rice set, and I'd say I loved their rice set the most. All of their fusion sushis are on a salty side, which I do not know why, even the mini california maki is on a very salty side. The beef, is just well done and still very juicy.
Picture time!

Overall, I wouldn't mind paying a visit to Robot sushi again as the ingredient is really fresh and they cook the beef very very well, but I'd not want to try funny funny sushis again.

A lot of food!
These foods should be up in my Facebook already but nonetheless..I still have to blog about it right? So let me begin with a place I always chill out with...Delicious!
I've never try this before because I can hardly be satisfied with Bruchettas. But this Bruchetta they have is very unique and different from the rest. The Bruchetta they offering is made of sauteed mushrooms, spicy eggplant and also kidney beans. I have to say the sauteed mushroom was epic and the eggplant was equally as awesome too!

Next in line is Delicious' Caesar salad with smoked salmon.I always loved their Caesar salad there. The anchovies are like super awesome! And the bacon they offered is a size of pepperoni, not the tiny bits!

This is one of my favorite dish in Delicious...Spicy seafood spaghetti with touch of coriander. The seafood is always fresh now matter which branch I dine in.Awesome quality control!

We went to this dessert shop in SS2, which is at the same stretch as KTZ,but it's at the other end of KTZ.
Lynn ordered this durian cream puff thingy just to give it a shot.According to them it was epic but...I didn't try it cause it stinks really bad!No offense to durian lovers!

After it being cut open

My favorite dessert in that shop...I proudly name it Mango chee cheong fun! This dessert is really epic..the white color skin is made of coconut milk and some jelly thing..So the skin on its own it is bouncy like jelly in your mouth...Inside,it's one whole row of mango!Damn awesome la can!

Side view..See the mango!So chunky!

Next up!My new found love!Snowflake in SS15, right opposite of Asia Cafe.Loved the best seller! It's made of awesome taro balls,none-bitter grass jelly and ice at the bottom of grass jelly! The grass jelly is sweetened but not too sweet...I love it because the grass jelly isn't bitter like the typical grass jelly and it's not too sweet either!Perfect dream dessert! And the taro balls, especially the orange one is awesome! It's so chewy like normal pearls we have in the milk tea!

Since there were like 6 of them ordered the best seller,so I decided to order this black glutinous soup with red bean and taro balls. It tasted epic also because it's not sweet! And the black glutinous rice and red bean were cooked to perfection. Both the main ingredient were were soft!Loved it!

Aiyee's dunno what dessert.I think it consist on grass jelly, peanuts maybe and lin-chi in cantonese. The white color layer is actually milk, you can choose whether to put it or not as it is served in a separate saucer.

Italianies in The Gardens!Oh well...Hated their QC.It's not standardize and so far the best Italianies I've tried is the one in 1U.
Clam with white wine and garlic. It was very nice when I ordered it that day.Not sure if it will remain nice though the next time I order this.

Minestrone soup.It doesn't taste as good as before.

My favorite dish in Italianies..Calamari Caesar salad. This can't go wrong!I got no comment if salad also can go wrong and taste bad!

Conned clam soup.Got no absolute idea why clams are cooked with tomato soup.I didn't try it because I hate anything with tomato pesto.

Risotto with asparagus and chicken.Still edible, not much seasoning though,so it's a bit plain but I loved the asparagus because it was cooked to perfection.

Hated this spaghetti!Shrimp pasta or something.Dam freaking awful because the pasta was so soft,it tasted like baby food to me!None of us ate it besides trying purposes and of course we finished all the prawns. But surprisingly this tomato pesto they are using for this pasta tasted okay,so it was still acceptable to me.

Places & foods
Thanks to Tzumei, I found another good place for Taiwan food. She brought me to Hartamas for this Taiwan shop near Borneo Ink. Had a great night out with Tzumei, Khai Tzer and Joe in Hartamas.
I have to say this is so far the best steam dumplings I've tried and also the closest taste to the dumplings in Taiwan. It is awesome because besides minced pork in the dumpling, there are also cabbages inside, which is the traditional way of making dumpling in Taiwan.

I would say braised beef noodle is one of Taiwan's significant dish so how could I not try the one that is most popular?Loved the soft texture of the beef.It is braised just nice, soft but not too soft. This is not the kind that will melt in your mouth the moment you put it in,rather it is something chewy and the longer you chew it,the beef taste comes out even more!

Joe's fried fish with noodle

TzuMei's pork rib rice

Had a wonderful Christmas with the love bunch, Lynn,Eugene,Denesh,Tzumei, and some others like Winnie,Lam,Lam's gf, Daniel and the gf in La Bodega Bangsar Telawi.Had great fun laughing and playing games and talking nonsense. The most typical celebration of all but yet it is the most awesome.Simplicity at its best huh?
Since it was Christmas..How can we not have wine on our table?

My specially request seafood spaghetti with cream sauce. It is absolutely delicious!

Tzumei's sandwich.Very nice also!

Epicly awesome roasted pumpkin.I'm still figuring out how to make it lol

Gene's big breakfast.Loved the awesome sauteed mushroom!

Winnie's sandwich which looked like a meatball sandwich to me!

Lynn's all time favourite, asparagus soup and I would say it is epicly awesome too!

Tiramisu in La Bodega.I don't fancy it lol.I've had my best one and so far nothing else beat it,yet.

Had a girl's day out with my kakak,Icey. We had lunch in Hakka Restaurant in The Curve, and this is one of the most difficult Hakka dish to make, suen pun zhi in Cantonese.I would say the one they selling can be improved.

Dinner at Tatto restaurant
The bread they serve was epic la.The top and bottm surface was toasted just nice, literally crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside!Sugguh mouthwatering!

Risotto with sauteed tiger prawns and asparagus.Risotto is never a dish to have it all by yourself.Even we were sharing and we couldn't finish the risotto because it became jelak after awhile.I don't find it that interesting as compared to the one I had in cafe cafe, maybe because I am never a fan of tomato sauce.

Scallop spaghetti with light cream sauce.Hated the fish inside because got the bau hanyir ):

Dining in an Italian Restaurant..How can we not try out the tiramisu? But turn out..the tiramisu is a disappointment and so is the entire dinner... ): Not that the food or the tiramisu is not nice,is just that we're expecting more. That aside,I really have to give credit. The drawing on the plate with different syrups was absolutely beautiful!

Updates!
I finally got my Iphone after blood-boiling days of waiting and queue-ing up in Maxis in The Gardens. That day..I literally stole my current iPhone because I was supposed to wait for them to call me,then only I can get my iPhone but I didn't..I went there, straight press the queue number for "iPhone purchase" and waited there..I waited there for 3 hours in total, which I scolded the staffs also..Oh well..It's been long since I last scolded people XD.
Anyway..I've been to few restaurants which I wants to share with all of you..However, I've updated the photos right from my phone to Facebook, since it is more convenient that way XD
I've been to Grandmama's restaurant in Pavilion. The initial concept is similar to Madam Kwan's, which there are few dishes that overlaps as well, for instance, Nasi Boujari and Asam Laksa. According to baby bug and Alfred, both dishes in Madam Kwan's are slightly better than the one in Grandmama's.
However, I took their signature dish, the Sang Har noodle, which was awesome! The prawns were huge and really fresh too! Most importantly..The prawn taste has been incorporated into the noodle and the gravy!Totally awesome for a not-so pricy price!
My Sang Har Noodle

Asam Laksa

Baby bug's Nasi Boujari

Frames, TTDI plaza
Frames is ran by baby bug's senior, Mark. However, that day, we were supposed to go to flea market in the Curve but baby bug cheated me.He brought me to Frames to have dinner instead and we sat there for 3 hours to have our dinner. It's not the case where we waited very long for our dishes to be served, but rather Mark was asking me to try their desserts and give comments. Woah,a food-critic to be eh me!
I'd say the food in Frames are nice, especially their diablo pasta! The spaghetti is very well cooked, just not,not too soft or hard. And the seafood, mussels were really fresh to the extend where I can still taste the original saltiness in it. The prawns were big, and fresh, and to my surprise, the prawns were real fresh prawns and not reared prawns, which was totally awesome!
Diablo pasta

Baby bug ordered beef cheesy burger...I would say it is not bad and i find it a little different from the rest of the restaurants due to the vegetable they put into the burger..It's the fresh, almost organic type of salad, and not the usual salad. This salad is slightly reddish, and it is a little bitter. But it is more crunchy than the ordinary salad. You can see the salad they use in the picture.Sadly I do not know the name for this salad ): Maybe its time for me to go study a little in cold storage, to get to know the names for different salads eh?

Besides that..Another reason why I like Frames is the setting. The seats are very comfy and for a person like me,which I always anti-the sofa seats, their sofa seat was good enough for me to sit in for more than 2 hours. I shifted place with bug later because the air-cond was blowing directly at me and I was freezing, due to my improper wear (polo-T with shorts) :P
Settings in Frames

For no reason this particular picture on the wall just caught my eyes so badly..so I took a shot of it!

We ordered dessert, which was my favorite tiramisu.I found that there are space for improvement for this tiramisu but I must say the alcohol content was just nice, not too strong or not too mild. And the sponge layer was very absorbent, unlike Italianies' tiramisu, which is always wet!

After we tried the tiramisu and I gave comment on it,me, Mark and baby bug continued talking and out of a sudden Mark asked if I want to try their brownie with ice cream which is not in their menu yet.I was very full but since baby bug say he can still eat..So we tried the brownie and it was not bad.It is moist enough, and not many nuts were there.I hate brownie with a lot of nuts because I found them disturbing me to taste the texture of the cake.

I had a great time in Frames, either trying food or talking to baby bug and Mark.I am definitely going back there in due time!
Cristang - the best and most sinful pork burger in Malaysia!
Just went Cristang on yesterday to tried out the pork burger,as Cristang was featured in NST.We specially went on Wednesday because there are 20% off for any of the pork burgers. So off we went. The "we" consist of me,Thava, tracy and Cheryl.Too bad baby Lynn was purging so she was unable to join us ):
I would say the setting in Cristang is so so only, but maybe because it wasn't at night so the atmosphere was different.

I ordered their chocolate-banana milkshake and I regretted it.Not like it's not nice but it was rather rich.Having it without meal is totally fine but it will be too much with a heavy meal, like beef burger :D

The beef burger was good too.The hamburger they made it themselves and I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed the grilled bacon!I love bacons to be super dry and crispy!

Although the beef burger was good..but nothing can beat the pork burger! The pork burger was so awesome that I kind of regretted ordering my beef burger for the first time! The pork was totally fresh, and it has no pork-smell that i hated so much, and not to forget the minced pork sauce was awesome too!The minced pork sauce is called minced pork chili con carne, which was serious awesome and it's nothing like bolognese sauce at all.The taste is even heavier with set P4, which is with petai. The petai is blended into the sauce where a petai-hater like me can't even taste it!Let's not forget..The Cristang Cajun wedges with rosemary (I think it was rosemary) was awesome too! Each and everyone of us loved the wedges!

While waiting for our dishes to be served...I took this out of boredom. They serve German beer too!

For the first time..The pictures of the pork burger are making me salivating and I feel really hungry now!
Who wants to go with me again soon?!
